I also ask clients to post pictures of  people to whom you are attracted instinctively. So that it may be difficult to explain what attracts exactly. And strong dislikes of some people without a particular reason - so that it is difficult to verbalise why you don't like him or her.
You are welcome to show such preferences as well here!  :)

Thank you for your explanation, Olga, and for the examples. I have a better understanding now. While I cannot say I prefer or like most of the examples posted of both music and art, I can definitely see the differences between the two types. There were examples from both that I liked and disliked. If I had to choose a type that I prefer out of the two, it would be IEE, although it is almost too static and too much force almost. Hard to explain.

Just to clarify, I should attempt to draw a general "tree". It can be any tree I choose? I will work on this ASAP, and hopefully I can locate some of my old drawings.

Thank you again for taking the time to explain.
Susan.

Susan Elizabeth Harris-Gamard, thank you for all the materials. Your drawings were good in showing once again your type IEE. Ethics is easy to recognise in the heart on the tree. Extraversion shows in usage of the whole space. Statics and irrationality in in these pictures are quite obvious:

You are drawn to the originality and so is your turtle unusual. This means your perception is attracted to a puzzle- images. It is subconscious because Ne is good at guessing the puzzles.
You may be very extraverted and in this case your subtype could be EIE - Hamlet. One EIE typologist (his name is BLK) suggested that EIE is plausible, he found a lot of pictures and music which he liked in your list. Very often people are in doubt between type and subtype.
But we definitely found a lot of energy Superid and believe that Ni is also very strongly present which is a leading function in IEI and ILI types and creative in EIE type.

I am not sure what to say about the people you like or dislike. I think there is quite a few IEE types in likes and some rational types in dislikes. You are welcome to copy your preferences here.

Your music here:

Your art links - you can use the picture symbol of madonna on the bar if you wish to insert the picture. Alternatively you can just copy as it is - links:

People preferences: http://socionics4you.com/forum/index.php/topic,250.0.html

Thank you for taking part in express- diagnostics. You are welcome to be a part of the group of typologists on this forum if you find it interesting. Welcome to contribute to any topics. :)

Wow! Thank you, Olga. I find your process incredibly fascinating and am definitely interested in delving deeper. As you can probably tell, I was having trouble inserting my photos into the comment box. I will wait until I am able to do so (hopefully someone can help me) before I insert my images in those threads.

I just have one question about my typing results:  So if I am not very extraverted, would this mean that I would be the IEI subtype then?  I can definitely see the EIE subtype as plausible and it would explain my typing difficulties in so many ways.   I am extraverted in a sense that I need to have attention and to interact with people, but I am lacking in assertiveness. Some may see me as introverted because of this.

Thanks again for all the effort that everyone has put into my typing process.
Susan.

I just now realized something else. The two drawings you chose to show and analyze in your last post, Olga, were projects done for an art course at university. They were both strict assignments with not much freedom allowed. I think my tree represents more my creative style than those two drawings, along with the architectural drawing. I have posted some of my other projects for you to see also. It may change things.

Susan, welcome. :) Do you wish to insert your pictures here on this forum? I get the link from any other internet resource like photo-bucket and click on the Madonna picture symbol and it works. )
I would say that IEI subtype would suit more because there is a lot of introverted and dynamic energy in your art. The socionists from my school at the beginning did not see extraversion at all, there is a lot of introverted dynamics in our art preferences. It was too much Ni.
But the fact is that you are an extravert and it is very clearly in your video, in the way you write and talk quite a lot - the volume of your sociability is high. So we understood that Superid (SI) energy in the art preference must be compensation.

Your new pictures point to ethics and may be extraverted ethics - the lady on the portrait radiates happy energy, look open and friendly. In the picture with the river and lights I see introverted dynamics (Ni, SI-energy): contrast in orange and dark blue colour and the waves of the river- movement.
The paper project - introverted profile ( SI - SE). You use white colour of paper (SE- energy) but two many shapes create introverted dynamics - too many small details make the image complex and moving, making the eye wonder from one little image to another. This implies a process and the food for perception/imagination. Therefore this project is definitely irrational/perceptive.

Ok I understand. Not sure I am clear exactly why, if there was much irrational dynamics present, I was not typed as IEI? This has been my problem for a long time.  Introversion extroversion have been quite contradictory for me. I spend at least 75% of my time alone, usually only seeing my son and husband on a typical day. I am fine alone until I reach the point where it gets to be too much, then I need to get out and start experiencing things: go out with my friends to dinner or dancing. And how do others see me? It depends on who you ask. My husband says I am an introvert: I don't mingle in social settings and am not outgoing with people. It doesn't mean I don't like to socialize because I do. I just will always be the quieter one. My introvert friends will say I am more extroverted while my extrovert friends will say I am introverted. It seems I am a chameleon depending on who I am with. . In online groups, most people see me as INFJ (Ni dominant) but there are some who claim they see Ne. I seem to be a contradiction of sorts? Maybe I use both intuitions equally? I do value both, but I don't value Fi very much.  It is frustrating. Maybe expecting a clear answer is asking for something that would not happen with me? If so, I am ok with that. :) it is why I have come to Socionics because it seems to be a more in depth, clearer system.

Thank you for explaining everything. I will see what I can do with the pictures.

Thank you for explaining everything. I will see what I can do with the pictures.
We are very far from explaining everything. This was just an express diagnostics.   :)
It may well be that you are a balanced on introversion-extraversion. Some people use the word ambivert. it looks like it does not exist in English. The point is that there differences within the one type on the scale introversion- extraversion. You can find Huxley who is very extraverted and rather introverted like Dostoevsky. So we look at extraversion as not only socialbilty but the volume of information processed. If the volume is quite high and more superficial "knowing a lot about many things" then is it a feature of extraversion. Knowing just a specific knowledge in depth - relates to introversion.
In your case your video reveals extraversion and ethics pretty well. You do not like an ethical introvert at all.
Another important thing to mention, if  you as a typologist do not know about one preference you need to evaluate the rest two preferences. Irrationality and statics will automatically lead you to extraversion even it may not be obvious.  Any two dichotomies help you to decide about the third one.
In your case art- preferences would not help us much because there we can see introverted dynamics as well as statics. Music reveals statics. Extraversion+ statics = irrationality. This is how we come to Id-type.
Intuition is very obvious this means two types IEE and ILE. Some socionists still think there is a big chance for you to be ILE. I go with ethics.
If you would be a rational type then Fi or Fe would be leading and more obvious in your preferences but it was not.

"Ok I will try to answer each of your questions, Olga. The first: The Great Gatsby was originally a novel about a self-made man who did it all for the woman he loved. I think as a film it has everything: the meaning is conveyed superbly, the cinematography is hyper-real which I love, and I think both the writing and acting are top notch. As far as The Piano, I love films that hit you in the gut, that make you cry and scream and feel so intensely. These are the films I am most attracted to. Sometimes shocking, always emotional, always going against convention. Favorite TV programs: absolute favorites is Sherlock (BBC version), Mad Men, And the old series Lost. Why? I love the way Sherlock is written. It is so compelling and I love puzzles more than anything. They are also self enclosed wholes--each episode can stand alone and is resolved by the end adequately. Mad Men for the psychological intensity. This is my primary motivation for films, shows, books. Lost because of the meaning behind it. The mythological and archetypal combined with human struggle.

I will post some clips from my favorite movies":
