While Paul is in doubt about his intuition being as strong function he is accepting Ni as a part of his personality and rejecting strongly Ne.
Ni is a function of TPE Superid.
Three static functions represent the strength of his type and two of them belong to Superego Ti+ Fi, Se from the TPE Id and Ni from the TPE Superid.
This suggests that Paul id a static type with a vulnerable function of Intuition and precisely Ne as vulnerable function. The second weakest function would be Te.
The confusion about the type lays in the accepting Se and Ni as a preference which stems from the faulty concept of quadras which suggests valuing opposite functions. In the model A statics types have the preference for statics and the dynamic types have the preference for dynamics in the mental part of the model. According to the functional preferences of Paul he is most likely the type ESI and this fits with his choice of art and music.
His subtype within Superego group of types could be LSI or EII equally because of his preference to Ti and Se. This is something we can decide at the later stage with Paul. But his TPE subtype will be most likely Superid with the preference for introversion being stronger than statics or rationality.
