"To be honest, when I first saw your website a long time ago, I was quite skeptical. In the past, my fascination with socionics has been on the logical side; all of the underlying logical relations between parts and what they are measuring. But I started to consider the fact that socionics is a human system, and all those logical relationships are quite meaningless unless they can be understood and applied in a natural way - something that is conspicuously missing in a lot of socionics literature, being oversaturated with logical authors.

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect from the diagnostic, but it ended up being a very good exercise in self-reflection. The impression I have of other diagnostics is that the interviewer essentially just listens (if you're lucky) and tells, with little input from the client. Yours is the opposite approach, and much more valuable in its outcome because of the reflection required (a good practice even outside of socionics). The holistic approach is also noteworthy. I feel like type is explored from multiple angles, and individual differences are accounted for within the system. The art and music analysis, which is what I was most skeptical of, turned out to be very reasonable. The ability to compare what is said in the questionnaire with the unconscious taste presented in artwork and music is quite smart, and seems true to socionics psychoanalytic roots. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I feel like I learned a lot about myself that would otherwise be very difficult to uncover."

Mary:
"“Olga’s guidance and methods were a relief for me. There is a lot of Socionics information out there and it is easy to fall into a deep hole of uncertainty. After years of researching and trying to see into the mirror, my vision seemed permanently clouded. Olga was able to finally help me understand my type through a structured system where various sorts of data are reviewed. She is great to work with because she explains her methods, she is flexible with her time, she has a lot of material for reference, and she is driven to find your type.  I could ask for nothing more out of a typing service, honestly. My doubt is gone!”

I have asked Veloute to look for the similarity in the appearance in the type picture galleries. As a part of type diagnostics we also ask the client about his opinion of the type. Veloute considers his type as LSE and this is the picture he choose from the galleries of the 4 ST types.
Between the two most likely possible subtypes he has chosen rational one, even though we see more introverted dynamics in his music as well as extraverted dynamics in his art list.
LSE rational type of psychodynamics with Id being the last in his TPE profile: Ego - Superego/Superid - Id, LIE and LSI subtypes at the level of the 16 types.

"That said, these are all songs that I have liked for a long time, and would put on if I just wanted to listen to music I enjoy with no other purpose. I appreciate melancholy and pensive music more than upbeat, happy music (though it has its place). Layers and driving/cascading rhythms are enjoyable to me. I appreciate a good call and response structure (like in folk and blues songs), or songs with morphing rhythms and motifs. Atmosphere and moodiness are a plus."

Logical, Superid - Superego. Appears to be static but has got a sinking feeling to it and too much of introverted dynamics.

Logical, Superid - Superego, introverted dynamics. Te Reminds of the working of the mechanism like a clock or dripping water in a waterfall. Possible Si because of the focus on the sound beat.

I dislike many popular songs. There's some combination of how uninteresting a song is, compounded by how often I hear it, that makes me dislike it. That doesn't bode well for most popular songs.
I particularly dislike what might be described as hard rock. I would be genuinely annoyed if I were forced to listen to this stuff for a long time:

Id - Superid, irrational

"Something about the lack of innovation within the genre, combined with the simplicity of the hooks, and the try-hard edginess of it. It strikes me as very ingenuine, perhaps because of how much it adheres to pop sensibility, which seems at odds with the image/message it's trying to present."

The conclusion about F.V. music preferences.
Music is predominantly introverted, Superid - Superego, sometimes as a subtype energy is Id or Ego. Introverted dynamics is very obvious in music Ni + Si. Music appears to be also very logical no matter what TPE is leading Superid or Superego. Attention to sounds which makes me think of Si.
Rejected music of a powerful nature  - extraverted  with either Se or Fe leading functions but mostly Se is rejected.

I appreciate realism, but not usually photorealism (I like some of the artist's/movement's style to come through). I appreciate pieces that draw me inside of them with the space and atmosphere they create, often with many small details. In terms of art movements, I tend to enjoy stuff from the baroque, neoclassical, and romantic periods without much fuss.

Stagg at Sharkey's is more painterly than any of the above, but has that same skill in capturing a snapshot (you can really see the influence of the invention of the camera on this painting when compared to the others). I often find myself appreciating this piece as an abstract painting, the way the bold brushstrokes draw the eye around the canvas is just as enjoyable as the punchy subject matter.

Window with a Blind is a longtime favourite of mine. I find it very relaxing - I think it's the everyday subject matter combined with its gental gradients and sharp lines. Very architectural, a bit geographic, and mundanely sublime.

I also have a soft-spot for abstract and conceptual works, especially pieces that are large, playful, and bold. In many cases I think abstract pieces do more to change the space they're in than a realistic piece (bigger impact on the objects in a room, including the viewer).

Stagg at Sharkey's

I do like Van Goghs exaggeration of simple elements, like the sky. He gave it texture.
Neutral colors. Involve nature. Do not involve humans or buildings. Please just get the essence of the beauty of what nature is, small as a leaf or as large as a mountain. And do not be afraid of natural chaos. Do not create any where there is none though. Also not too realistic. Some kind of impression. Not exactly what you see.
White frame... I took those pictures. The flowers don't fit in the boxes but are still complete, is my favourite part.
Clock, my grandpa made it. He is clever with his work and I love tracking time visually like this. It is a little whimsical.
The black frame. I am not sure how much I like it but my parents made the effort to give it to me.

Salvador Dali and Rosseau are uncomfortable because of the darker parts of their images, things melting in Dali's, hidden animals in the forest in Rosseau's.

Billy Ross III: “I really enjoyed this holistic typing style. Most typing services do not include the art and music preferences. I found it very helpful and it was also a necessary part in determining my type for the group that was helping confirm my type. Olga was very helpful throughout answering all my questions. She has been very patient and kind throughout the whole process. I would recommend her for typing based on her character alone, but her typing process is the best I have come across so far and the most thorough. I also want to thank Olga Tangemann for finding out that I’m an ESI”

Tests
Billy's test results were inconsistent pointing to the functional profile of NF but subtype test suggested the right profile for him: subtype test  result: Static profile || Superego – Id - Superid – Ego
Using the descriptions of the vulnerable functions Billy chose as his vulnerable intuition.
Prior to this after reading the article of the information aspects Billy thought that his vulnerable could be sensing and the type- analyser result suggested type EII with the subtype IEI. He also mentioned that MBTI test suggested for him type ISTJ. This is partly why he thought that he could be type LSI. And of the colour range in a Butterly model he chose for himself violet and pink which are the colours of Superego energy.

Billy Ross was typed by me as static ESI with the internal subtype LSI within Superego group and external subtype SEE by TPE profile yesterday.

This is his preference in music and paintings.
As you can see, his preferences in art are clear lines of drawings and the theme of ethics Fi. Bright colors do not dominate, the calmness of the Superego energy: rationality, static, introversion. He likes the colors of the Superego - purple and pink.
What he doesn't like about art belongs to the Superid energy.
